The Weekly Update from Marceline UMC
Marceline UMC
Jan. 20, 2020
Hello Church!
Have you thawed out yet? Watch for times as we look to reschedule the planning retreat...again. Also, next Sunday we'll be recording scripture readings for the radio. If you have something you would like to be included in the February newsletter, please get it to Beth in the office this week. And finally, I"m looking forward to next month and a fun way to feed my coffee habit and visit with folks. You'll have to scroll down to find out more.
The parting shot this week is from what part of our planning retreat would have been. See some more at the bottom of the email.
Remember you can forward these emails on to folks that might be interested and they can subscribe to our email list to stay up-to-date on things.
Have a great week!
Peace,
Pastor John

February is going to be a fun month! We're going to be in the book of Hebrews on Sunday mornings, and Pastor John will be teaching a Sunday School and Wednesday night small group. They will be on the same thing, so if you can't make one, you can come to the other.
The other piece is that on Monday mornings in February, Pastor John will be at Cafe Marceline, and the Orpha Circle is funding coffee for anyone who comes in from 7am to 11am. So come in and get a cup of coffee!

Bible Questions
As you are reading through the Bible and you have questions, write them down! Get them to Pastor John and we'll work on setting up a time to talk about the questions that folks have as they read.

You know what they say, "the third time's the charm." The picture to the right is the front cover of the flip chart we would have been using at our planning retreat.
We've postponed our planning retreat a couple of times, and we're looking at another date to have it.
Watch for more info coming out on when it will be. But in the mean time, continue to think of big dreams, new goals, and who our church can be in the community.
