Your Weekly Update from Marceline UMC
July 19, 2021
Hello Church,
We were running a little late on Saturday, but we had a great turnout for the Convoy of Hope distribution. When I got here from Bucklin, we already had about 20 cars waiting in line and they represented between 25-30 different families that were helped by the distribution...and that's before anyone else showed up. Its been a good weekend around here. This afternoon, we keep that up with the Food Pantry down in the Fellowship Hall.
This week I'm looking forward to meeting with our new District Superintendent. This year is going to look a lot like what we are used to, but next year our districts will be changing and we'll be in a new district. There will be challenges with that, as well as new opportunities. I'm looking forward to what those will bring.
Check later in the email for info about Celebrate Recovery, camps, and an updated list of devotions and prayer resources.
Our parting shot for this week is a picture of Jack and I, take a look at the end of the email to see it!
Remember you can forward these emails on to folks that might be interested and they can subscribe to our email list to stay up-to-date on things.
Have a great week!
Peace,
Pastor John

Last Tuesday I had a special guest for our prayer time Jack joined me, not that he had to much of a choice because I was pushing the stroller, for our prayers. Its never to early or to late to pray with your kids. We're working on it with Jack, but you all know that my prayer life is always a work in progress, so don't feel like you have to be good at it, just trying. Find some time this week to pray with your kids, your spouse, your friends, or others that you spend time with. If you need some help figuring out what or how to pray, remember that you can go to our Prayer Guide for some good tips, or get a hold of me and I can help too.
