How do you talk to others about important things, and a reminder
Your weekly update from Marceline UMC
Hello Church,
Yesterday we started a new series during worship called “Why Jesus?” that starts with us answering the question about why we need Jesus. As a part of that, I want you to think of how you have important conversations with people. It could be your kids, your boss, family members, friends, random strangers, who else? How do you approach them? What do you need to know going into those conversations?
I also want you to think of how those conversations go well and how they go badly. What works, and what doesn’t work? My guess is, that what works the best is when you have those conversations and you’ve done something thinking about it, praying about it, and you’ve spent some time thinking about how they’re going to hear what you’re saying. All of those things work as a part of how we share who Jesus is with others, and how we tell others why they need Jesus.
Take some time this week to reflect on those things and see what you come up with. Also, to help with some of that, don’t forget to start a new habit this year. Take a look at some ideas by clicking below
Our parting shots this week is from Orpha’s meeting last week. We made prayer beads….there were a few challenges involved. Take a look at the end of the email to find it.
Remember you can forward these emails on to folks that might be interested in them, and they can subscribe by clicking on the button below
Have a great week!

Once you have done that it will let you create an account. Take a look and let me know what you think about what you see. I want to make a decision on which service we’ll use going forward by the end of the month.

Parting Shot
We made sets of prayer beads during Orpha Last week. Prayer beads are great to help organize our time of prayer, and for many of us that need something to hold on to, they help keep us grounded. That being said, some of the beads were a little smaller than expected and a little more challenging to get strung into the right place.
