It’s Giving Tuesday! Here’s all the info about Christmas Giving
Your weekly update from Marceline UMC
Hello Church,
If you’ve been watching the news, your email, or social media today, then you know that today is Giving Tuesday. It’s the nonprofit world’s answer to Black Friday or Cyber Monday. It’s a day that is meant to give to those organizations and groups that help serve others.
In this email you’ll find the many different ways that you can give during this season for the church. As always, you can give in person on Sunday morning, mail or drop off gifts to the church, or give online.
If you give online, you can create an account (if you haven’t already) and your end of year giving statement will be credited. You can also give as a guest. If you use a debit/credit card, please also check the box that asks if you would pay the processing fee. From the drop-down box, you can choose which (or all) of the Christmas giving opportunities you would like to give to, and you can do it all at one time.
Our parting shots this week is of our giving tree! I have a lot of favorite traditions that we take part in at Christmas, but this is one of my most favorite. Take a look at the end of the email to find it.
Remember you can forward these emails on to folks that might be interested in them, and they can subscribe by clicking on the button below
Have a great week!
Peace,
Pastor John

All donations will go to help kids in the Marceline School District, and they will go a long way to help many kids.
You can sign-up to ring the bell at Walmart on Dec. 11th by clicking on the link. Even if you can’t ring, please give as you’re able when you go to Walmart. Donations that are made stay in Linn County and help many people throughout the year.
We have many ways to give this year. Some of those ways have already been mentioned, and some are still coming. On Christmas Eve, our offering will go to our Sister Church, Butula UMC in Mozambique. Please give generously to them this year as they have been hit hard by the pandemic.
We are also collecting donations for our Christmas Food baskets. We have several families that we are helping this year.
You can give to all of these by online as well.
The Kids Christmas Program is coming up on Dec. 12th during our in person worship service at 10:10am. We’re also have lunch that day. You can sign-up to make a donation for that lunch as we celebrate with the kids.
You can find out more information by joining in on the Q&A Session on Dec. 1st at 6pm. You can get there by clicking on the following Link.
