Hello Church,
This might just be me, but I feel like we’ve slowed down a couple of steps as we come into this week. And that’s a good thing. We normally slow down some at this time of year. That means that this is a good time to do the thing that we all generally like to do at this time of year….sit and visit with each other. You can do that through small groups (take a look at the sign-up below), you can do that during VBS and during story time at the ark coming up in July, and you can do that just by intentionally going out and visiting with others.
The point for that is to get to know others better, even folks you already know well, and to invite those folks to be a part of things going on at the church this Summer. There are lots of opportunities coming up for folks to be a part of what is going on. We’re even starting to get together with our High School kids this Summer on Monday afternoons at 1pm over at Ma Vic’s.
Summer is also a good time to take on some new practices. I liked the prayer liturgy we used on Sunday for the Lord’s Prayer. It makes a great practice to engage with the prayer and with many different aspects of our lives. You can find a print version of it, and a half-sheet version that is good for using on phones on the links below.

There’s one other thing that I want you to look at. So that I get some good feedback, we’ve got a sermon evaluation. You can get a hard copy of that in the Sanctuary, or you can fill it out online using the link below. Please take a few minutes to fill it out and let me know how things are working.

We also have a sign up for the Sharing Table for this Summer.
You can sign up to help water the garden this Summer in the back of the sanctuary, or go to Garden Watering. When you do that, check the box for the week(s) that you’ll water, then click submit and sign-up at the bottom of your screen. You don’t need an account to sign-up (but you can create one if you want).
Finally, we’re looking for folks that would like to serve communion and anyone who would like to help get the bread and the juice ready for communion Sundays. You can sign-up in the back of the Sanctuary, or by clicking here.
Parting Shot
Our parting shot this week comes from an announcement that we sent out through the City. It’s a reminder that the backyard is open! Tell your friends about it, and stop by yourself.

Parting Shot
Whenever I get to talk to folks who are out in our backyard, they are always glad it is there. Make sure you take some time to come out, water something, pick some weeds, push a swing, bring your kids or grandkids, and more. We’re beginning to see more of what God is doing with us, through this ministry that is only beginning.
