Hello Church,
I love it when I ask a question in the subject line of an email. Yes I’m asking you that question when I do it, but I’m also asking myself. I’m happy to say that I’m almost ready for Lent to start. It is shaping up to be another good season. Come start the season off with us on Wednesday. We’ll have an online service at 7am (that will be available after that too), and one at 7pm here at the church. If you are in Brookfield at noon you can join us at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church for a service as well.
During this season, spend time in reflection on where you have been, and where God is calling you to. We are making our way to Easter morning and a great celebration.
You can also join us during Lent on Sunday mornings at 9am for a study called “The Walk.” Its an Adam Hamilton study that is meant to help us go deeper in our faith. One of the parts of this that I’m looking forward to is that it is good for all ages! If you would like to be a part of it and would like a book, please let me know. If you would like to make a donation for the books, they are $15.
Please keep Kyle Lake in your prayers. He’s in the hospital at St. Luke’s down on the Plaza.
Parting Shot
Sunday was a fun morning! Take a look at the bottom of the email for some fun pictures of the pancake breakfast.

Important Announcements
Carry-In Lunch
The Pastor-Parish Relations Committee will be hosting a carry-in meal after church on Sunday, March 12 after church in honor of Pastor John. Meat will be provided. Feel free to bring a side dish or dessert or just bring yourself and enjoy a good meal with the Pinkston family. We were going to do this in October during Pastor Appreciation Month, but there was a lot going on at the time and we thought it would be better to do later. Come join us!

Send Dan a note
If you get a chance, send Dan a note, he was our previous organist Dan Brooks has had some health problems come up as a result of having covid. He’s doing some rehab work at Aspire Health and Rehab in Moberly. If you would like you could send a card or a note to him there, or at their home.

We’re working on a new worship experience. We don’t know what that will look like yet, but we’ve got some ideas. We’re intentionally gearing it towards families with young kids, but everyone is invited to take part. We’re going to have a planning meeting on February 26th at 4:30pm. We’ll have childcare available that day too!! We’re going to be looking at some different ways to connect. If you’re interested in this, and want to know some good places to start, take a look at Messy Church and Godly Play for some ideas.
