Hello Church,
Thank you all so much for the cake and the card as we start our fifth year here with you!! If you missed it yesterday, click on this link to see what happened in worship. I do have to say that that is the first time in 16 years of ministry that I’ve ever had sparklers in worship (and I love it!!!).
Sunday’s message was a recap of what took place at annual conference, and where we’re headed over the next six months. The biggest take away is that God isn’t done with us yet, and greater things are still in store. The question for us is if we are ready to be a part of what God is doing. Farther in the email I’ll have a link for registration for one of the events I was talking about on Sunday.
One more thing, below is a link for a sermon evaluation. Please fill it out. That will help me as I plan sermons and so that I can work on my preaching. I very much appreciate your feedback!
Important Announcements
The kids will continue to work on music for VBS during their Sunday School time on Sunday morning. Watch for more info to come out about it!!
Talk to Julie Tarpening or Donna Moore about helping out with VBS! It is going to be a good time this summer.
If you would like some Zinnia seeds, there are a bunch on the Sharing Table.
Sign-Ups
There are sign-up sheets in the back for Celebrate Recovery. This includes volunteer leaders for meals for the next six months. There is also a jar for monetary donations.
We also have a sign up for the Sharing Table for this Summer.
You can sign up to help water the garden this Summer in the back of the sanctuary, or go to Garden Watering. When you do that, check the box for the week(s) that you’ll water, then click submit and sign-up at the bottom of your screen. You don’t need an account to sign-up (but you can create one if you want).
Finally, we’re looking for folks that would like to serve communion and anyone who would like to help get the bread and the juice ready for communion Sundays. You can sign-up in the back of the Sanctuary, or by clicking here.

If you’ve ever heard of the PETS Project, then you might recognize what the ladies in Orpha are decorating. PETS is now called Mobility Worldwide and they continue with the same mission to help folks who can’t move around on their own to be able to move around on their own. They are decorating a small cart for a big fundraising event that Mobility Worldwide does every year. Take a look at the pictures below to see what they’re up to.
