This Sunday We're All About Paul
Join us for worship! Don't forget to sign up for a listening session
Welcome to Worship!
We’re glad to join you in worship this weekend! We’ve got one last listening session after our in person worship on Sunday. You can find reflection questions below. Also, this week we’ve got our Annual Charge Conference at 2pm! It’ll be a good time to get together with other churches and meet our new District Superintendent
Don't forget you can also bring candy for Halloween!
Our online worship, is a recording of our previous week's in person worship service. We do that so that we can share in a higher quality of worship together. Even though the service is recorded, Pastor John is down in the comments of the service every weekend.
You can find links to our YouTube Channel for the service, worship music, and a Spotify playlist for more music. You can click on the link to find our previous services too.
You can worship on Facebook, Sunday mornings at 9am, in person at 10:10am, or follow the service below at any time.
What comes next is the order of service for our online worship service.

Opening Prayer
Calling God, you have done so much to prepare us for the world we are a part of. But you never meant for us to stay in one place. You have always been preparing us to go. Sometimes that's going long distances, sometimes that's going someplace close to home. Always though, you have prepared us to go into places that we never considered before because that's where you are needed most. Prepare us to be your people, in all of those places. In Jesus name, Amen.

Prayers, Presence, Gifts, Service, Witness
As people of faith, we share who we are with each other. Below I invite you to share your joys and concerns, your prayer requests, and your offerings. You can use the link below, or in the comments
Share a joy, concern, and/or prayer request
Remember that you can mail in your offerings to:
Marceline UMC
321 N Kansas Ave
Marceline, MO 64658
You can also give online.
Take some time for some personal prayer, and take some time to give. This could be the time when you go online, or you write a check to the church, or when you make that commitment to give in a different way.
After the personal prayer, I'll say a prayer (if you're watching the video), and then join in saying the Lord's Prayer below.
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory forever. Amen
Scripture Reading
Our scripture reading for worship is Acts 20:17-24
As you are able, please stand for the reading of God's Word.
17From Miletus he sent a message to Ephesus calling for the church’s elders to meet him. 18When they arrived, he said to them, “You know how I lived among you the whole time I was with you, beginning with the first day I arrived in the province of Asia. 19I served the Lord with great humility and with tears in the midst of trials that came upon me because of the Jews’ schemes. 20You know I held back nothing that would be helpful so that I could proclaim to you and teach you both publicly and privately in your homes. 21You know I have testified to both Jews and Greeks that they must change their hearts and lives as they turn to God and have faith in our Lord Jesus. 22Now, compelled by the Spirit, I’m going to Jerusalem. I don’t know what will happen to me there. 23What I do know is that the Holy Spirit testifies to me from city to city that prisons and troubles await me. 24But nothing, not even my life, is more important than my completing my mission. This is nothing other than the ministry I received from the Lord Jesus: to testify about the good news of God’s grace.
Leader: This is the word of God, for the people of God
People: Thanks be to God!
