Hello Church,
I promise, if you’ve been seeing my posts from Annual Conference this past weekend, I really did do something and not just eat. To be fair, I did eat a lot of tasty food this weekend while in Branson and Springfield, but I learned a lot as well, and got to be at conference in person for the first time since 2019.
This Sunday I’ll be sharing what went on at Conference and describing what our next six months will look like. This summer is going to be good time for us to try somet higns out, and to prepare for who we are becoming.
Summer is also a good time to take on some new practices. A couple of weeks ago we practiced a new way of doing the Lord’s prayer. It makes a great practice to engage with the prayer and with many different aspects of our lives. You can find a print version of it, and a half-sheet version that is good for using on phones on the links below.

There’s one other thing that I want you to look at. So that I get some good feedback, we’ve got a sermon evaluation. You can get a hard copy of that in the Sanctuary, or you can fill it out online using the link below. Please take a few minutes to fill it out and let me know how things are working.
Important Announcements
The kids will continue to work on music for VBS during their Sunday School time on Sunday morning. Watch for more info to come out about it!!
Talk to Julie Tarpening or Donna Moore about helping out with VBS! It is going to be a good time this summer.
If you would like some Zinnia seeds, there are a bunch on the Sharing Table.
Sign-Ups
There are sign-up sheets in the back for Celebrate Recovery. This includes volunteer leaders for meals for the next six months. There is also a jar for monetary donations.
We also have a sign up for the Sharing Table for this Summer.
You can sign up to help water the garden this Summer in the back of the sanctuary, or go to Garden Watering. When you do that, check the box for the week(s) that you’ll water, then click submit and sign-up at the bottom of your screen. You don’t need an account to sign-up (but you can create one if you want).
Finally, we’re looking for folks that would like to serve communion and anyone who would like to help get the bread and the juice ready for communion Sundays. You can sign-up in the back of the Sanctuary, or by clicking here.
Parting Shot
Our parting shot is a special one that comes up every year after Annual Conference. Take a look at it, at the bottom of this email.

Parting Shot
There are a lot of pictures I took over Annual Conference weekend that I could post. If you’ve seen my facebook feed, then you’ve seen a lot of them. There’s a lot food, a couple of quotes, and even a T-Rex. But, there is a new tradition that has started over the last few years among Methodist pastors. We post a picture of the appointment list of where we will be the next year.
This is a special picture for me, because it represents the first time I’ve been some place for more than four years. We are looking forward to this next year, and we are very happy to be returning for a fifth year spent in ministry with you all.
