Hello Church,
In Matthew 25 Jesus calls out the folks who helped the least of these. They are lifted up as the example of who gets it. What’s special about these folks is that they were doing the right thing, because it is the right thing to do. They didn’t even know it. For them, it was assumed that this is just what you do. Through their actions, not only where they living out their faith, but they were also sharing their faith with others. They did that in a couple of ways.
Their faith was so ingrained in them that it wasn’t a question of what they would do, just that they do it.
They were their with the least. They knew their community well enough to know where the least were.
As you go through this week, take some time to reflect on where you are: at home, at work, at kids events, in meetings, out to dinner, etc and look to see where the least are. Then, begin to think through what both you can do as an individual, and what we can do as a church.
What helps us in our faith, to be more aware of the world around us, and how we live our faith out is to practice. Take a look at some ideas for practicing and growing in faith by clicking below
Also check out the Pastor Review! Myself, and the PPR have been working on a better way of evaluating me as your pastor so that we all get more timely and important feedback. Farther in the email is a link you can follow to share your thoughts.
