Work Day Update and A New Sunday School Class on Acts Starting
Join us in worship this Sunday, online and in person at 10:10am
We got a lot done on Wednesday for our work day!! Big thanks to everyone who came out, and to several folks who did work ahead of time.
We’ll be meeting on Saturday at 8am (donuts & snacks provided) to work in the kitchen, wipe down tables in the Fellowship Hall, and clean up the Pie Room. Come out as you can, and if you have them, bring some cleaning gloves with you.
Now on to worship!
Welcome to Worship!
How have you been keeping up on your reading? Now that we’ve made it through the New Testament, we’re going to spend a few weeks taking a look at the early church. This Sunday we’re starting with what sounds like dessert, but are a couple of metaphors for understanding how the church got started.
BUT WAIT, THERE’S MORE!!!
Take a look at the announcement below for Sunday School! It should be a good one and goes along with where we are in the early church and the book of Acts.
This Sunday, September 10th, the adult Sunday School class will start a new Fall series on Acts.
The Eyewitness Bible Series, Acts, consists of eighteen 12-18 minute videos and related study guides. We will try to do 2 or 3 each class. The videos are narrative accounts by Bible personalities of portions of Acts, such as Peter discussing the start of the church as described in Acts 2-5. Or Timothy describing his journey. Together, the videos and study guides provide an in-depth view of the book of Acts.
Hope you can join one or all of the classes! These do not build on each other, but gives us into each of the Acts personalities. Hope you can come!
Its going to be a good Sunday. Join us at 10:10am to see it all. And hear about the breadsticks.
You can join us in person or online, either on Facebook or YouTube.
You can find links to our YouTube Channel for, previous services, worship music, and a Spotify playlist for more music.
THERE’S STILL MORE!
The first Sunday of October is World Communion Sunday, so I want to answer your questions. If you have, or have had, a question about Communion but have never asked it, now is the time. Reply to this email with it, or give it to me anytime between now and the end of September. On World Communion Sunday I’ll have some answers.
Below is a bulletin for our worship service.
