Hello Church,
I want to share with you something exciting! It’s been in the announcements for a few weeks and we had our first meeting to talk about a new worship experience geared towards families with young kids. We’re looking to an April kickoff, and we’re going to plan for our first three months to get all the bugs worked out.
The way we’re talking about it is that it is going to be in the style of Messy Church which is more hands on boisterous type of event. One of the first things that I need from you is a best time that works. This is open to folks in all ages, but especially if you are the parent of an elementary age kid or younger. Take a look at the poll below and first choose the time that would work best for you, and then the time that won’t work at all.
If you answered other, please let me know what time that is.
We’re also going to need volunteers in a wide variety of places. We’ll need folks to help with food, activities, cleanup, worship, buying supplies, planning, etc. If you would like to help in one of those capacities, or even have an interest in doing something but you don’t know what, let me know!!
We are blessed with an abundance of kids in our church and in our community. I beleive that one of the things that God is calling on us to do is to reach out to this group to support and encourage them as they grow in faith.
Also, you can join us during Lent on Sunday mornings at 9am for a study called “The Walk.” Its an Adam Hamilton study that is meant to help us go deeper in our faith. One of the parts of this that I’m looking forward to is that it is good for all ages! If you would like to be a part of it and would like a book, please let me know. If you would like to make a donation for the books, they are $15.
Parting Shot
Our parting shot today is of someone who is definitely ready for church to start. Take a look at the end of this email to see who (you’ll probably guess).

Important Announcements
Carry-In Lunch
The Pastor-Parish Relations Committee will be hosting a carry-in meal after church on Sunday, March 12 after church in honor of Pastor John. Meat will be provided. Feel free to bring a side dish or dessert or just bring yourself and enjoy a good meal with the Pinkston family. We were going to do this in October during Pastor Appreciation Month, but there was a lot going on at the time and we thought it would be better to do later. Come join us!
